I just did this via an email a friend of mine sent me. I just put my area code and home phone number in the google search bar and up pops my wife and I's names and home address, and right next to that is a Map Quest link. I hit the MQ link and now you have directions right to my front door. They are making it way to easy for predetors to get to kids. There is a link provided to remove yourself from this list, wich I did. Just remember those of you who have children to drill internet safety just as much has gun safety. Never give your name, address or phone number to anyone! Be safe all and keep an eye on your angels.

You're right. Things are just more dangerous, particularly for our kids, than in previous generations. BTW, isn't the possessive of "I", "my"????

if you type in your cell phone #, a site pops up called "reverse tracker"..its a site that you can pay $14.95 to get a complete history and personal info for that phone #.

That is why phone number is unlisted.
It doesn't show up in Google searches.
A small monthly price to pay for privacy.
I never get solicitation calls either.

Not listed in phone book so I don't show up on Google Search.

Within the next year I plan not to have home phones anyway all people in this house has cell phones) thus, it'll be completely mute unless they start listing cells.

I knew that and it never bothered me. It makes it easy for friends to find me. I don't have to give them turn by turn directions. That stuff was public knowledge long before Google anyway.

I have an unlisted number and dont show on google but do show on the zabasearch site. It used to show my old addresses but they seem to have fallen off since I have been at the same address for the past 5 years.
