looking for St. Paul,MN police dept. info

I am trying to find out what the St. Paul Police Departments service pistols are? I think they are Glock .40 s&w, not sure of glock model # though.

The reason I am trying to find out is my oldest daughter is finishing up her criminal justice degree at St. Thomas and she wants to work for St. Paul P.D.

Her golden birthday is coming on the 21st and I want to buy her a pistol. I would like to get her the same pistol the P.D. issues so that she will be proficient with the pistol she will wear on duty, long before she ever patrols the streets.

I appreciate any info you can provide. Thanks.

It's easy, just run up to one of the cops with your right hand in your pocket, screaming "THEY MADE ME DO IT!!!".

You'll get to see what gun he's carrying!

LOL... I will think about trying that next time I go to a MN Wild game.

I have told her to ask the cop that pulls her over for speeding next time, but I just got a sarcastic look and a talk to the hand gesture.

Wow a Minnesota Wild fan...another hockey fan on the board. Not too many of us around. I used to live in New London, small town outside of Wilmar...about 2 hours west of Minneapolis.

Call the Public Information Office at 651-266-5735.

They'll probably be able to help you if you ask nicely.

When you call, hire the neighborhood kids to SCREAM in the background!
Have someone run a chainsaw too!
I'm insane!

Not 100% but I'm pretty sure they carry Glock 23's. My sister was a Roseville Police Officer and their standard issue was a Glock 23.

A buddy of mine is a St Paul officer, just checked with him and he said it's a Glock 22.
