I received a phone call tonight from an telemarketer with the Illinois Police Association asking me for a donation. I kindly informed him that I'am not donating to any organizations this year other than ones that are in support of my 2nd Ammendment Right. He said, "that is a worthless cause and that assault type weapons should be banned." He tried explaining that these are dangerous high capacity weapons and that you can pick people off at great distances, and mentioned the school and church shootings that take place. I metioned you could do just as much harm with a bolt action rifle and a good location of cover and concealment. He then hung up on me. I figure because he couldn't argue that, I know he really hung up because I believe those calls can be monitored. Oh well some people will never understand. Just thought I'd share the story.

I think Illinois is trying to become (if they're not there already) "New Kalifornistan". I can't say I'm surprised to hear that. For him to suggest that supporting the 2nd Amendment is a "worthless cause" speaks volumes about the professionalism of the person calling.

Must look away . . . blood boiling . . . glad I'm moving to Florida after school.

The odds are that this caller had nothing to do with the IPA and was just a paid telemarketer.

They hung up so the fake charges could be filed. The search warrant will probably be signed this weekend, and you're gonna be a part of history. Heck, if you're lucky the story will make the news.
Telemarketers = Just say NO!

The jerk hung up on you because you told him that bolt-action rifles are just as dangerous. Now, he's probably going to talk to his supervisors in adding bolt-action rifles to the list of "dangerous" assault weapons...
