Charles Wittman didn't use any AK semi autos or semi auto M4's or AR's or Uzi carbines and whatnot. He just holed up in a nice tall tower and started picking people off with bolt actions and other hunting rifles, until a cop and an ARMED CITIZEN helping out managed to get up to the steps to the tower without alerting Wittman right away, then shot at him and killed him.

These anti gun people just don't know how to have fun, like going to an outdoor range with all your buddies and shooting paper and metal targets all day with a variety of firearms. Then if you are in an open carry state, you can afterwards all wear your fav sidearm and have dinner together at some restaurant that doesn't have "gun free" signs. Then for anyone who wants to, they can all go back to one guys house and clean guns together while further chatting it up.

Just between you and I...

I never give money to the Firefighters Organization or Police Cheif's organization... they get paid, so why do they need my money.

Unfotunately, though the trend of Police Organizations being anti-gun isn't something new.

I used to belong the IPA so I could shoot in the pistol matches (PPC and Bullseye), but I stopped that about six or seven years ago. I haven't paid any dues since then. I am still getting meeting reminders and other junk mail from them.

Several years ago, IPA wanted to end the statewide pistol matches. They changed their minds when they found out a great many of their members had only paid their dues in order to shoot in the matches. That was a lot of lost income they were facing.

They are more concerned about union rights for Illinois officers than just about anything else.

When I canceled the Seattle TImes newspaper years ago, I got a call from them asking why. I told them I didn't like it. Not good enough, the guy kept pressuring me for a reason. Finally, I told him the truth that their left-wing bias in the news reporting made me sick, especially the anti-gun slant, and I didn't want them to get any more of my money for it.

The guy snapped "I guess every Republican must have his gun!" and hung up.

I wrote them a letter detailing everything and announced I was scared of the person who called and worried he would come harm me. They didn't respond, but I bet the letter got passed up higher than the mail room.

Now, I just ignore all the BS, my tiny voice in the firestorm of liberalism cannot be heard.
