I haven't been able to figure out whether Doc Holiday is saying "huckleberry" or "hucklebearer" in that film.
The term "hucklebearer" is old southern slang for pallbearer and that would make more sense to me. Besides, Doc Holliday was raised in the deep south and a term like hucklebearer would fit his vernacular really well. Is it huckleberry or hucklebearer? I dunno. Huclebearer makes more sense. I also like the exchange in Latin between Doc and Johnny Ringo...."in vino veritas." That movie was damned near perfect. Lots of top notch actors and all did a great job, even if Kilmer really stole the show as Holliday. Kevin Jarre is one hell of a director. - Brickboy240

From the Big Lebowski:
The dude: "F*** your sympathy Walter. I don't need your F*** sympathy. I need my F***ing johnson. From Tombstone- although this is a bit of a paraphrase Doc: "A nocturne, you know, Frederick F***ing Chopin" |
