He is NOT for amnesty!!!

And I must say he is the only candidate that has expressed an actual way to reduce/eliminate the incentives that cause people to sneak into the country.
They all speak of beefed up security, but Ron is the only Rep I have heard speak of what drives people to sneak in.

If I am wrong, someone post who else has offered up a way to reduce the incentives, and don't give me that enforce the laws line because they all say that and it is a band-aid not a solution.

As for the ME ........... anything is possible, but you've got to make an attempt to talk before you can find out if it can work, and negotiations ............ Well, that's what talking is all about.

Fred Thompson is my favorite, but don't think he is going to make it much further. He is a true conservative, like me. John McCain is not too bad and is my second choice, but I have trouble with his stance on immigration. Romney/Giuliani/ Huckabee are very liberal Republicans or very conservative Democrats however you look at it. RP, I don't know....he seems like he is on another planet.

Much like Jefferson, Franklin, Payne, etc.

I understand some of what Hubs is saying. Paul does not make as good of a public showing as the others. Whether that's because he's treated unfairly or not, most of the country is stupid enough to put some sort of importance on that.

Fox's selected group didn't like him.

McCain says he has changed his mind on the immigration issue and is NOW listening to the people, although he sure as hell didn't do that with the amnesty bill. The only people he listened to were Kennedy et al. McCain is a Rhino, except for military issues.

I am not even confident he would veto any kind of gun ban.

Thompson seemed to do well last night, Ol' Ron looked good as well...

I still like Thompson, but if Ron got the nod he would get my vote...

Huck did fairly well, IMO, too.

The rest were....well...just BLAH!

the rest of them seemed....well....blah

It's kind of sad that someone this state looked up to has fallen down so hard. McCain sold out, and I agree, he might go along with a gun ban if it will help him. No one else matters. He has proven this over and over again.
