If you think that, it's because you haven't been paying attention. Huckabee won the Iowa primary. Paul hasn't even pulled off a second place finish.

I think McCain is mean and unstable.

Next to Ron Paul, I'm actually starting to like Fred Thompson better than any of the others.

Go Fred Thompson! He is the true conservative and is a strong 2nd amendment supporter.

I'm not sure I'd go that far, but I'm pretty sure I don't trust him.

As far as your comment on Thompson, I'm the same way. I actually would like to see him get the nod more than Paul, but I don't think either will happen now.

Watching Thompson at these debates, I get the feeling that he's not too impressed by this debate charade. I feel like that's the kind of person we need. He says what he thinks and what he believes without apology, and really doesn't do much promising or sugar-coating.

Huckabee was playing to his base and spending money and time. He has also been played up in the media and honestly - he is a guy who is fun to listen to.

2nd place isn't important - there have only been three states who have assigned delegates and there are still over two THOUSAND up for grabs. What matters most isn't who gets the most, but who comes out strongest with a meaningful number of Delegates. When it comes to the convention, you don't need the most delegates to win! If Dr. Paul raises another 23 million by the convention in addition to his current war chest - he can use that to encourage others in the convention that he has the most chance at beating the Dems.

So yes, states, primaries, delegates are important but not the whole game. Look up "Brokered convention.

Disclaimer: its still a HUGE longshot - but this is "our" chance to get someone in that supports the second amendment (and, all amendments), is consistent in regards to the rule of law, ending the reasons people immigrate illegally and fix our economy by not wasting it by giving to both our friends, and our friends enemies.

I don't agree with him on very much, but I think he seems like a real person.
