CCW Holders in Florida

What has been your experience with the electronic fingerprinting? Has it really sped up the time in getting your permit back?

Thanks.

Absolutely. I did electronic, put my packet in the mailbox on a Friday, and my permit was issued 5 days later on Wednesday.

Thanks guys. I mailed mine last Friday. It will be interesting to see it come back quicker. The instructor insisted it only saved 5 days.

I had mine done electronically in Colorado, and it took 17 weeks!!! I've been told Colorado Bureau of Investigation is purposly holding them up. With electronic finger prints the whole process from the prints to the background check can be completed in 20 minutes.

Why are they holding it up that long?

I live in a very small town. I doubt if they do electronic prints. I'm hoping that when I go there to get printed the firearms detective would ask me why do I need a FL CCW and then I can throw in his face the fact that FL not only respects my rights. Might lead to me getting an NJ CCW, you never know.
