Cool Cop

I wish I could keep my cool and fight like this cop.
I can honestly say that as a civilian I would have shot the guy with the shovel.

Yeah, but did you see how the cop used one attacker to ATTACK and BLOCK the other? It was very cool.

No pepper spray, no tazer, a helluva lot of cool.
Drew his gun at the right time, kept his distance at the right times, even backed off of the fight and waited for backup when he could see it was a hopeless situation for rational control.

Plus he fought them off nicely.

I wish I were he but with a better haircut.

P.S. I was yelling SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT at the computer screen while watching it.
Is that so wrong?

I love how they are so delusional, they think they're in the right! Waving in others to join their fight against the man! Fight the power! With a shovel!

So, would the cop have been justified to fire on these dirtbags?

it depends upon the reveiw board and whomever is investigating the shooting to determine wether he was right or in the wrong...........this is why many leo's today are very cautious about when and were and in front of how many people, determine to discharge the sidearm.........even if they are in the right it can always come back and bite them..........

Officer Hoskins did pretty well in the scuffle. He's definitely quick and plenty strong, especially considering the fact that he was fighting two guys at once for a while and was able to sling both of them straight to the ground rapid-fire after being slugged in the face several times. Strong enough in fact that after the first scuffle both of the guys thought it was a better idea to keep a big distance from him .

Even after all that he didn't shoot anybody. Good job.

I like that video every time I see it....

The officer has his head on straight when it comes time to go hands on. You can see him go with one big knee in the beginning, but once both guys get on him he gets the right idea and just gets them off of him by throwing them off him.

I also like the fact that he is not afraid to step up the force and goes right for the baton....he does as he was trained.

He then also has a good idea and get back and waits for backup when he realizes that he is not going to be able to handle both guys. He is smart and "tactically disengages"...

Great job by the officer staying cool and using his training.
