Mike, God's peace on you and your family. Honor her memory--talk, sing (only if she would have wanted you to), help dad cry.

I hate chain emails, but I got one this morning and this caught my eye:
Quote:
Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge.
The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child.
The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.
Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"

Mike....sorry for your loss.

Cancer is a horrible disease.

My wife died when she was not that much more than half your mom's age. There is no age that is not too young. The loss is equally painful to the loved ones no matter the age.

Our son was just 10 when he lost his mom. I felt like I was still a kid myself. Certainly decades too young to be widowed (and besides, the deal was supposed to be that I would go first!!!)

People complain about paying too much in taxes all the time. I complain about how our tax money is spent.

I wish the government would do more to pay to fight this horrible disease.

But I know they won't. A cure for cancer is not important in our system.

So damn sad!!!

Hang in there Mike. Like others have said, you keep her in your heart and her spirit will live on as part of your life. I know it's true. Ten years and still i "talk" to my wife every day. She's still with me and always will be.

Peace,
D.

Mike,
God called upon your Mom. She is needed by him . Your Mom is no longer here in the flesh. But is there with you and your family even more.

Keeping your Mothers memories alive , will keep her alive in you and your family.

I'm sorry to here about you and your families lost. Be strong for your Dad. Take care!

.

This always brings me comfort.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want,
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the vally of the shadow of death,
I will fear no eveil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
