Real versus fake Christmas trees

I just bought my tree. It's very tiny because I have a very small space to put it in. But, I got a Noble Fir - a real one. It will be interesting watching my cat with the tree.

I have never owned a fake tree in my life, and I don't think I will ever get one.

Nice. Kill the environment. Couldn't you find a rainforest to destroy?

I'm thinking that the Christmas trees that they sell have been grown on Christmas tree farms or plantations. They're not grown out in the wildnerness. Plus, I always recycle them. I think they grind them up for mulch.

I've got a fake one, but had real trees before moving to my current house in 1998.

Ever since moving here, I have had a fake one as we have a 12' tall tree. After the first one wore out, I got one that is pre-lit. There is no way I would pay for a real 12' tree each year due to the cost of a real tree. Besides, 5 sections are much easier to move than one 12' tree!

I hear she used a full auto assault style BB gun to cut it down. So lighten up

We used to get a real one every year, but it so damn easy to put one together.

I saw a fake tree at wally world the other day, only I had no idea it was fake, I ended up smelling the damn thing to find out and what do ya know it was fake. Best artificial tree I ever saw, no wonder they want just under 200 bones for it

I hear you on the cost thing. We've alternated between the fake one and a real one. I like a real tree, but they do make a mess if they dry out. The wife keeps harping for a pre-lit one, but I'm to cheap to spend ammo funds on something I use once a year.

I am lazy. I have a pre-lit tree. It is actually quite beautiful.

Etta, you should start a "Show off your Christmas Tree" thread. I think that would be a first for this forum.
