I use Domain Monger because they also provide DNS hosting for you.

I use ixwebhosting as well and they are somewhat local (about 1 hour away) I had just a few minutes of down town when I first setup a few domains but it's been gravey after that and really cheap.

Don't register domain names through godaddy.com If you do, they own the domain name and your stuck with them. Maybe not a big deal but it was too me.

Now, if I could just get a good website designed!
