I shoot everything I own, but I still say keep the vintage stuff from getting scratched up and used by taking good care of it. A few shots through it now and then is fine, but for serious duty get a Mossberg or other value priced shotgun and go to work. What if that wooden stock cracks under pressure or gets scratched coming out of the trunk? or the slide looses more bluing? what if the firing pin goes "snap"?
Sure it's been around and did it's job when needed, but keep it nice by not beating it up. They just don't make them like that anymore and it needs to be babied.  It's history!
