I see that Texas also has morons who carry guns like we do in Minnesota...one of our permit holders Killed a Bouncer at a Bar after he threw him out of the bar....he came back and shot him....he died!
Sad

What kind of monster would fire hundreds of dowels into an occupied cop car? It's an outrage.

Oh, and by the way, $500,000 bail is wayyyyyyyy steep. The premium charged is $50,000, and it has to be backed up with 500,000 in cash or property. Could you and your family swing it? I know mine couldn't.

This also brings up the (God Bless Us Everyone) 9mm issue.
You're right. The cop fired 16 shots (15+1?) and hit Mr. BG 3 times. The officer was probably glad he didn't carry one of those guns with "small-cap" mags.

Of course, for the 9mm debate to resume, one must ASSUME he would have hit the guy in the same place with a larger caliber projectile. Just a bunch of "IFs" in that discussion. One of his buddies might have been interviewed and said, "He never could shoot our .45s worth a $%@. He was much better with a 9mm, but our Chief said 'bigger is better' and we have to give up our puny 9mm pistols for .45s."

Or maybe, "He was shot after firing 8 or 10 shots and paused to reload."

This game can go on forever. Let's no go there - or should I say, don't follow me there.

the BG did'nt start out with the AK, he started with a pistol.
He and the officer exchanged fire with pistols first.
the bad guy then stepped up to more fire power.
the pattern of holes and where they came from indicate that the officer was in the car when the BG was shooting with the AK.
the rods show the angle of each rifle shot. some low shooting up, some high shooting down. some entered from left front to left rear while some were from stright on .
I believe the BG was finally hit after he ran out of 7.62x39 and was returning to his car for some more.
I would like to see the BG's car to check where the officers shots went.
if the officer had got the BG in the initial exchange of pistol fire there would not have been any AK fire.
I don,t believe the BG wanted to die, or he just wanted to take someone with him, because if he wanted to die he would have not tried to win so hard.
I am very glad the officer is OK. I will use this in my officer safty class this next week.
I agree that the BG having a CCW does make me wounder what happened to cause this guy to go off like this.
rick
I will bet you that the BG is going to say that the officer shot him , and then the officer shot up his own squad car with the AK. Oh and that he shot at the officer in self defence.
