i was 99% sure you would of dan marino'd a tear gas can down the alley clearing the place

next time just promise yourself you'll at least call the cops.. lets say worse case the one kid killed the other via just a serious beating..
you would have a hard time sleeping at night

I used to get off the school bus everyday during jr high and get my ass kicked. Due to religious beliefs, violence was bad (guns=even worse). m & d said to sit there and take it. Nobody ever did anything to stop it. NOBODY. Everybody would watch though. I got tired of it, day in day out. I became the target for others because some burn out was kicking my ass daily. I tend to stay away from confrontations like that.

I would have liked to have had 5 minutes alone with that kids dad. People don't take responsiblity for any of thier kids actions anymore, just last week me and the misses where at the gym, and they where having a pool party, these kids are suppose to stay in the pool area only, well they are running all threw the locker rooms, knocking on the sauna doors, and such, so I walk up to them and say hey, your not suppose to be in here your not old enough to even be in the suana or steam room, and unless your a memeber-private club leave the locker room. well they look all pissed but leave, I find out from the misses they then went into the womans locker room to play in the sauna and such. I was so pissed got out of the truck and headed back in she was like what are you doing, I said I gonna go give the father the butt woppen he needs to give his son, then she reassons me down and all, but I am still pissed about it.

that lady did the right thing by grabbing the bully. She was protecting her child. I would have countersued the family of the bully though for court costs and missed work as well as tossed in an emotional trauma charge just because they were assinine enough to press charges.

The only mistake I see on the woman's part was in not immediately notifying the school principal and calling the local pd and having the kid arrested for that battery. Having the school and police report on file would probably have helped. The police would be completely aware of what she did and why she did it: to protect her son.

Her arrest may not have occurred as a result. Then, she could have gone ahead and done what Verm suggested.

I see your point about getting in fights as a part of growing up, but as a parent, if my son were beating someone/getting beaten, I'd want any present adults to put the kibosh on it.

Personally I see no need to involve the cops with kids that age; just go over there and take charge of the situation. Make sure the beatee is ok, and make an attempt to inform their parents of the situation.
