I actually work for a small engineering company here in Cleveland OH that is funded by the National Science Foundation among others groups. We are working on technology for the next generation of Braille and tactile graphics displays. My boss actually meet Stevie Wonder at a convention for the blind. Stevie is pretty active in promoting and working with companies creating technology for blind.

If you ever see the video for "Wild Wild West" by Will Smith from a few years back (yes I know, crappy movie, crappy song, crappy artist, but the video was playing nonstop on most music channels), watch for the part where Will Smith makes a dramatic entrance in the bar. The music stops, and and everyone turns toward the door to catch a glimpse of Smith as he strolls in. The funny part of this story, if you've stayed with me this long, is that the camera pans to Stevie Wonder, who was playing the piano during the song, and HE spins around to look at Will Smith. Subtle, yet inexplicably hilarious to me.

My in-laws both work for the Utah State Library for the Blind. Did you know that Playboy puts out a magazine in braile?
