pocket gun...

I am looking for a good pocket gun. I have heard good things about the North American Arms Guardian in a 38. This is mainly for my wife. She shoots my xd40 very well, although the first outing scared her. She has since wanted to go shooting and we both just sent off for our CHP. The gun holds 6 rounds of 38 caliber, is DAO, and you can get some goodies for it.

Anyone use one? Any better recomendation? Thanks!

I have an NAA Gaurdian in 32acp and it really is a great gun and NAA's customer service is top notch. I'd imagine that the 380 being basically the same gun will be just as good.

However, For the amount of money you're talking about spending, you should look at a Sig Sauer P232. Same money, DA/SA, better sights, and holds 8 in the mag. (Think James Bond PPK size).
I have a sig P230 which is an older model and it's an amazing pistol. I much prefer it over my NAA 32 when it comes time to drop something in my pocket.

I carry a Kel Tec P32 and it has proven to be a very good gun for its purpose. The NAA looks like a very nice pistol, but it weighs about 10 ounces more than the KT.

Of course, neither gun is one that you want to take to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through in a day.

Either way, make sure to get a good pocket holster, one that covers the trigger...I have heard stories of people getting stuff caught up in between the guard and the trigger...then POW...hole in leg or pants, etc.

If you settle on the NAA, let us know what you think of it.

This would be a good choice, my wife carries a Taurus 905 (same thing as the 85 just in 9mm) when she's not carrying her XD.

P3AT works well for me, with a hogue sleeve and a carefully practiced grip so the steel pin which holds the frame together above the backstrap doesn't bite the web of my thumb.

I was looking at the Kal Tec, but heard of some feed problems. I am glad that the NAA has a 10 pound trigger pull, I would think that would reduce AD, and anything else would be a ND. Their page seems to have a ton of goodies for the NAA.

Keep em coming, I have not had time to go over the other weapons yet...

thanks

james

Packing...I have not suffered from any feed problems with my P32. I did have some serious accuracy problems at first, sent it back to KT and they replaced the barrel, since then it has been perfect. I typically put 50 rounds through it each range session just to make sure my proficiency with my carry gun stays up to snuff.
Regarding the trigger pull, the KT has a long heavy pull as well.

The options for the NAA seem pretty good having lots of good stuff to add...the KT being polymer does not give the option of different grips, etc...but it is 10 oz lighter because of that.

How much is the NAA? It does look very cool.

Well

I can get one for $409.08 +tax+ffl from my local gun shop. I think I would drop about another $100 on stuff for it. I wish they had one to rent, I want to fire a gun before dropping $ on it.

I like that Sig that someone mentioned, but the best price I can get for it is about $550.
