I believe my interpretation is correct though. When I debated 124 vs. 147, I went to federal's website on their hydra-shok rounds. Here's a table with an energy comparison. The red line is 124 gr and the blue is 147 gr -
I've read similar results. When comparing two bullets of the same caliber, the lighter and faster bullet is more effective at shorter distances while the heavier and slower bullet has the advantage at longer distances.

Now, what happens to the lighter/faster bullet when the target is wearing a heavy leather coat?

Oooooh, this should be good for a whole day's worth of rehash!

Okay now lets be honest, How many people would get into a handgun fight @ 40 yards? Not very common as I understand. It's really more of a rifle application past 20 yds IMHO. Although we can't carry those can we. Except for in the truck (ceiling rack time).

I agree. That's why I carry 124 gr in my 9mm.

No the video wasn't scientific at all and it wasn't meant to be. But it was fun making it. If I can ever get any more of that stuff I will make another video and take pictures and crap like that, but that stuff is expensive. I would like to get a better camera so I can do more of a slomo than a frame by frame. Thanks for posting it though!
