My CCW stops the school shooting!!!!! (story number two)

So here we go again! (why I shall never know)

After thwarting the bank robbery, I was honored by the mayor (did I ever tell you about how I saved his nephew's anal virginity? Perhaps next time!), and the city for gallantry in support of law and order. They served Oreo cookies, and even let me take the remaining cookies home with me, but then disaster strikes!

Dammit, I'm out of milk again. This is no problem of course as my CCW is my constant companion on the hazardous road to the local supermarket. You must remember preparedness is a virtue, and frequency and familiarity breed complacency. Still though, this is a trip to get milk so I'll pack light. On goes the kevlar, and two layers body plate, because you can't be too safe, I'll keep a third layer of plate in my sniper pack just in case. The two trusty Glock-17, and my brand new Magpul Masada, with the 18" barrel freshly issued to me by my CO. After some recent forum discussions I decided I needed a backup for my Glock despite it being in all manners perfect. Over to Kershaw I went, and my new Steven Segal Kershaw Knife is now tucked into one of the six knife pockets in my tactical vest. I really should buy something to put in the other five, if for no other reason than because they could deflect a bullet.

After my last post some of you insinuated or outright stated that my background was more than that of a civilian with a CCW. I can only emphasize that this is not remotely true. My JROTC officer in high school always said loose lips sink ships, and I have dispatched death squads to deal with you perps. Remember, national security is the first, and sole importance, secrets should remain secret.

So two blocks down from my house I spot the mailman. Quickly before he can see me I roll into the nearest bush, right over the stinging nettle, damn that hurts, I should have worn my 5.11 pants, that would have shown the nettle. Though my efforts were not without reward, my stealth allowed me to evade the mailman. You should know that the only thing more dangerous than an experienced operator like me is the United States Postal Service, and it's employees. Take it from me, you don't want to tangle with those folks, keep a wide berth, and stay safe!

After the postman passes, I stay put for awhile. I believe this is a routine patrol as I see this mailman every day besides Sunday, but you can't be too careful when your life is on the line. I should ask my S2 about these patrols not that I trust Intel.

Anyway I finally move out and as I'm passing the school I spy three kids in masks with Glocks running in the front door wearing tactical gear. Now this _REALLY_ offends me. After my decades of service with the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard I can't believe I'm seeing three punks, and using my favorite guns too! Remember Glock means Perfection.

I look around but the school cop is in his car eating a doughnut and has seen nothing, how typical. I have no choice but to kick into action. I unsling my Masada and crash through the door after the three gunmen. The adrenaline begins pumping in my ears, the concern, these guys are about to shoot kids, and I have to do something!

As I breach the building, I immediately note the three kids in the hallway attempting to enter the locked classrooms. Good! the kids are safe for the moment, I raise my Masada to fire only to trip over my shoelaces so as to get rid of the element of surprise. I crash into a wall of lockers and drop to a full crouch. The sling on my Masada has of course broken in the fall and is now twisted around my shins.

Fortune favors the prepared as I, with my back to a locker, reach into my tactical vest and pull out my Steven Segal knife. I cut the sling away from my ankles, and in doing so cut into the ankles too. Blood begins to flow freely, but as was previously noted pain helps focus the mind. I draw my glock and spring out from behind the locker concealment where I stand face to face with the three surprised perps. As we all go to fire our weapons four magazines clatter to the floor. We all draw our Steven Segal knives and begin circling.

At this point a hall monitor spots us and screams for a teacher. I lunge at the guy to my left and miss sticking my knife into the vents in the locker. Amazingly the perp I attacked has performed an identical maneuver. I immediately stop and ask him where he got his training. He pulls his knife out, and mine and throws it to me, I deftly catch it blade-first, ouch!, and put it back into my tactical vest.

"Where did you receive your training, and why don't I know you?!" I exclaim. "I could tell you but I'd have to kill you, but, of course you know that in this business" came the reply. "Brother!" I shouted. At about this time the SWAT team came in to back me up, I knew they were on my side when I felt the first rounds hitting the Kevlar shortly before everything went tactically black.

This episode I'd like to apologize to any member of the following groups of people I might have offended with this work of fiction (in order):
people with taste
people with discretion
people who know how firearms work
people who don't know how firearms work
Mayors
People who live in cities
Nabisco, the makers of Oreo
Magpul (I'm really looking forward to your Masada!)
the United States Postal Service
school children, and hall monitors everywhere
Anyone who has ever served our Armed Forces
Anyone who has ever served in Special Forces
Anyone who has ever served on a SWAT team
Anyone who knows what the acronym SWAT stands for
Anyone with a Brother
Dupont (manufacturer of Kevlar)
Anyone that read this far

This particular episode was written in under 30 minutes)
No apology will be made for Glock as I feel no real reason to
Apologies to anyone else I missed.

Again, let me know if you want more of these. (or if you want them to go away)

We need more laws to protect these three rights. Ban guns in schools, it obviously works.

Thumbs up

I should probably say one more thing. Regardless of the victims age, regardless of the circumstances, shooting an unarmed foe, or many of them is not at all cool. No children were put at risk writing this story, or in the story itself. (I didn't have the hall monitor (the only potentially underage person in the story) show up until after the quadruple-simultaneous Glock failure, or as those of us in the trade call it the QSGF!), and the major players in the story were armed with knives only.

I am however as a rule against any sort of gun free zone, because in it you have created a place where only criminals have guns.

No where he saved the Mayor's nephews anal virginity. Great job with putting that part in there. Oh and that SWAT guy who was on your side and shot you. Not the first one but the second officer who made sure that you were tactically blacked out with a few extra bursts from his H&K MP5.
