TexasCHLforum is similar. I put in a 'WTF' once, realized that they wouldn't like it and tried to edit. Too late, they'd deleted the post (which is fine). I emailed the mod, trying to pre-emptively offer mea culpas....very cold response....referred me to the high priest charles or somebody...
Didn't get banned (wow, that would have been a loss) but I was duly chastened. Turns out the mod is some sort of preacher. Spare the rod, spoil the forum member. Last edited by HumbleGuy; 11-17-2007 at 08:00 PM. |

Well, if you REALLY want to continue to be able to post on that forum, just choose another user name. But do you REALLY want to if they're going to be so petty?
I was severely reprimanded on another forum for responding to someone's post as "gansta" thinking and calling him a punk. I stand by what I said as his language and comments are detrimental to those of us who do our best to promote safe and sane carry. |

Not that this ties in directly but I was told that the word **** actually comes from an acronym S.H.I.T. which meant ship high in transit and was applied to crap. When waves washed aboard the old ships they didn't want the crap floating all around so it was placed above where the waves and water would flow over the deck. Why they didn't just throw the crap overboard is beyond me ... but that's where I heard the word **** came from. Maybe this explanation is a bunch of crap but that's what I've been told.

This doesnt surpise me at all.Some sites are just going along with the rest of the USA,for GOD's sake dont say ANYTHING that MIGHT offend anyone.We going down the tubes....FAST!Just my opinion,the USA is still the best place to live,but give another 20 years then see.
