I've been detained a couple of times returning from Canada(no passport at the time). Its harder getting back into my own country than it is getting into Canada. The most recent time, I showed the border agent my CCW.

USMC IDs work great too. I don't recall the parkin gbeing too insane actually if you rwilling to use a longterm lot I think its 10 or 12 bucks, but don't do that to your wife. However I've waited for a Swede before, It could take a couple hours longer than you'd think. They like Swedish college athletes, not sure they will like your wife, sorry but hey its customs and a pain in the rear. However on a good day I've heard of it taking a very short time entirely.

There are a crap load of Muslims in Dearborn, so I'd imagine it wouldn't be anything too unusual, but we'll see I guess. Wish me luck.
