I was wanting a few thing from cheaper than dirt but I am going to Fort Worth for Thanksgiving and was wondering if the store there is any good, so I can save on shipping and probably buy more than what I was planning on.

I've done mail order with them but never made it to the store, I'm just east of Dallas.
I've driven by there, I have heard it is a little tricky to get to.
It is right next to a large interchange, I-35w and 820.
There is also a fairly new Cabelas a few miles north up 35W if that interests you.

Please report back if you go, if it is worth it it I'd like to go there.
I wanna buy more ammo but don't want to pay shipping charges.....

Ya im defiantly going to hit Cabelas also, eveytime I go I load up on reloading supplies. I was just wondering about cheaperthandirt because I am planning on getting some gun gear and surplus ammo. I just hope they have a good sized inventory.

The store here in Fort Worth is pretty good. I can always find something I can't live without in that place. If you are here, drive by and check it out.

The Fort Worth store is sort of separate from the CTD online. I'm not so sure how that works but they are. The inventory is decent (but that's relative to what you're used to seeing). I often find what I need.

I'm about 30 mins from CTD and Cabela's is just another 5-10 mins north on I-35.

Like prophead said the online store and the storefront in Fort Worth are two diffrent entities. My understanding was that someone paid for the rights to use the name for the online store.

The store in Ft. Worth is good though. Good prices on guns and they offer LEO/Military discounts on the more popular handguns like Glocks and such. I think they still have Yugo SKSes for 99 bucks.

if you're going to CTD, you might as well go south on 820(?)and check out Military Gun Supply. If you know what you want you mifght call ahead and make sure Michael(CTD)has it in stock; also w/Military Gun Supply. I don't know if they will hold things but I imagine if you gave them a list and it was substantial they would try to work w/you. I've known Michael Tenney(sp?)for almost 20 years, long before CTD got going; he's a good guy; great salesman/great slaes technique.

I recently went there for the first time. I thought it was a great place...definitely a hazard to your wallet's health.
When I went there they had a load of those xdgear accessory kits that everyone is looking for. That was the first thing I grabbed.
