Thumbs up Urine Test

URINE TEST

(I sure would like to know who wrote this one! They deserve a HUGE pat on the back!)

"Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their butt, doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?"

This stuff drives me CRAZY! My girlfriend's sister fits this description perfectly. I worked more hours last month than she has her whole life. I am 23- she is 30! She has 3 kids, gub-ment pays for her housing, food, so on and so forth while she sits around smoking weed all day.....

BS!

That never even occurred to me but you make a lot of sense. Most crime in my area is drug related one way or another.

Unfortunately, the corrupt officials that run public housing can't even get as far as keeping known criminals out of public housing (the housing agency gets per unit $$$ so keeping the "need" as high as possible is their only real goal). I don't see urine testing coming to a place near me anytime soon.

Yeah - I really love it when I pass the entrance to the "public housing" project near our Town Court. I'm driving an 8 year old car with over 100k miles on it - the ones pulling in there are mostly new luxury models (BMW, Jags, MB, Lexus - you name it). I can only assume the folks driving these things are very good at managing their welfare checks........
