** Updated** Did ur BestBuy go anti-gun yet???

Hey All:

I am doing some follow-up letter writing to the Best Buy thread I had in here a while ago, I am looking to send out some letters asking why the Brookpark BB is anti-gun but perhaps others are not (although Marty, the store manager says it is corporate policy).

If this were a corp policy, you would/should see signs by now, can you post feedback as to if your local store is anti and also the location??

Thanks in advance,

Todd

I boycotted BestBuy years ago for horriblew customer service so I don't get close enough to see what signs are posted. They have absolutely nothing that can't be had somewhere else and if you see something you want in a sale ad just take somewhere that price matches.

Not that signs are common in MD as CCL is near impossible to get, but no signs in MD, VA or PA that I have seen.

They do have horrible service. And horrible in-store management. I tried to buy a laptop for my son. He was in Charleston, SC in the local BB, and I was in the one here. He picked out a computer.. I figured I would pay here and he'd walk out with it there. Seemed simple.... No go. Against policy??? I went a few blocks to Circuit City, and got the same computer for $100 or so less. No problem.

I did write a letter to BB corporate customer service. Told them what happened and how they turned down a $1700 sale. And that I felt compelled to sell my Best Buy stock. They sent me a letter of apology and a $50 gift certificate. So I guess someone knows how to run a retail business.....just not the people in the stores. (I didn't own any stock...but I would have sold it if I did..LOL).

No gun restriction signs in any of the South Florida stores. It's possible they have them and no one put them up. They don't seem to work too hard in the any of the Best Buy stores I've ever been in. I was recently in a Best Buy in Chicago. Didn't see any signs there either. I guess if no one has a gun legally it wouldn't make much difference???

Peace,
D.
