Edit: Yep, just checked. Ive donated a little over $100 to RP's campaign, and 15 times that amount to Mike Huckabee. But please, by all means, continue to tell me who Im going to support. I really like it when other people think for me
How much you donated to Huckabee or any other candidate is irrelevant. You donated to Ron Paul as recently as yesterday. That makes you a supporter of Ron Paul.

Saying that you're not a RP supporter because you've donated more money to Huckabee is like Larry Craig claiming he's not gay because he's married. Doesn't matter if you're married, if you like johnson, you're gay. Doesn't matter if you've donated to other candidates, if you've donated to RP you support him.

You continue to say I'm ignorant or illiterate but it's just a smokescreen to hide the fact that you got caught making a false statement. That's a page right out of the old Clinton playbook. Now you could have made that statement not realizing it is false, making you an idiot, or you made it in full knowledge that it was false, making you a liar. You choose.

Yes, I made a donation. I didnt say I would vote for him, did I? Nope, hence the "would be supporting" in my original statement. Ive made no false statements here, you just ASSume a bit too much. I dont need a smokescreen, and comparing me to Clinton? Any hope at credibility you had is gone, especially after our last exchange, do you need a reminder? Youre so much like Judge, resort to the personal attackes IMMEDIATELY, ask questions later, because you cant form an argument to begin with.

You started the insults with your eye-rolling smiley. You don't think eye-rolling is insulting? Roll your eyes the next time your boss tells you to do something. You insult others with your insipid and insulting emoticons and then whine when someone gives it back to you. You certainly can dish it out, but you can't take it can you?

And btw, since you like to call others illiterate, why don't you go back and read my post. I never stated that you were going to vote for RP. I stated: "I love it when supporters of a libertarian candidate..."

Slice it, dice it, parse it the best you can, but nothing will change the fact that a financial donation equals support.

My God, youre unbelievable.

Since you want to harp on illiteracy and semantics, perhaps its YOU who should go back, watch the video, and read the definition of censorship.

Slice it, dice it, parse it the best you can, but nothing changes the fact that youre making something out of nothing, and youre on the losing end of nothing.

Edit: If theres anyone here who cant handle the heat, its you.

If you want to discuss these issues fine. I have tried to do that in good faith and you haven't.

I'm not the one trying to change the subject. I can take the heat just fine. On the other hand you keep changing the subject because you can't deal with the fact that you got caught making a false statement. Let's recap:

So then you respond by trying to change the subject: the time of your post wasn't 4:39 (it was 6:39, so what?) and you gave money to other candidates (again, so what?):

So you don't engage the issue at hand at all. You claim that you don't support RP but you donate money to him. Your next post is more of the same:

That's a powerful argument right there. Your rhetorical skills are overwhelming. What's a poor boy like me to do?

You seem to be upset because you perceive me to be putting words in your mouth. Well that's what happens when you don't come out and say what you mean. You like to use condescending statements and emoticons to insult other poster rather than just insulting them directly (btw, that is such a feminine thing to do). I prefer to be upfront about it:

You are either an idiot or a liar. Despite all of your responses, I can't figure out which it is. Why don't you try engaging in the relevant argument. You claim that you don't support RP yet you donate money to him.

Financial donation = support

Pretty simple. Why don't you try to refute that rather than just changing the subject?

Indicating a donation to RP
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_tense
Quote:
In linguistics, a future tense is a verb form that marks the event described by a verb as not having happened yet, but expected to in the future.
That does not constitute a false statement. I said "would be", and Ive repeatedly stated across this board, I do not support all of RP's policies. Im not even sure I would vote for him if he won the primary, because as Ive said numerous times, Im still undecided. Unfortunately, your lack of reading comprehension prevents you from understanding this.

You were corrected, you were wrong. Live with it.
Quote:

Oh, so I said I support him, but I didnt, right? Like I said before, youll be hard pressed to find where Ive shouted my support for him. I have repeatedly however voiced my support for Huckabee, and said I would be more than willing to vote for him if he changed his stance on immigration. Ron Paul? Yeah, not so much.

Its not really a powerful argument, but the fact that you dont understand it is somewhat troubling. You should look into that...

Fine, Ill be upfront about it. Youre a blithering Neo-Con idiot with the reading comprehension and intelligence of a 5 year old. That cover it?

I have, repeatedly, youve just chosen to ignore it. Blind as that wombat, right?

I didnt try to refute that, nor did I ever deny it. Perhaps you should learn to read, especially where I said: " Yes, I made a donation. I didnt say I would vote for him, did I? Nope, hence the "would be supporting" in my original statement."
So, to quote you:

Its a very safe bet to say Ive put more money into Mike Huckabee than Ron Paul.
Just in case you missed it. Would you rather me send that money along to Frudy McRomney. Status quo, here we come!

There are many others here who have been here as long or longer than I who will agree, it wasnt until recently that this forum really went downhill. Jesus, I remember when we could have civil political discussions without someone jumping down my throat, and I still have that with the vast majority of members here.
