I followed the links to the top five polls listed on realclearpolitics.com and here's what I found for RP's support:

Rasmussen: 3%
Quinnipiac: 2%
Fox: 1%
Pew: 3%
LA Times: 2%

Pretty darn consistent that RP is polling pretty close to the margin of error for the poll, i.e., there is no statistical confidence that RP actually has any meaningful support.
Where?
All I see is another poll that excludes him

If Texas congressman Ron Paul is elected president in 2008, he may be the first leader of the free world put into power with the help of a global network of hacked PCs spewing spam
I would think the voters would be the ones to put him in the White House.

Just curious, anyone here changed their mind about voting for RP as a result of the bashing or anti-Paul articles that have been posted on this forum?

I have been a bit turned off by the onslaught. RP may be OK but the incessant near spamming is annoying, such that if he was actually viable I would vote otherwise out of spite. There are ways to change my opinion, but the ronbots have tripped enough of my triggers that even if I had a crush on him I would not now vote for him. I am not sure that I can really explain it fully, but because of his supporters he is out of contention.

You know, I can understand that. I can't speak for all the others, just for myself. I like Paul because he is not everyone else in D.C. I like his message, and I like his politics. However, he is a fringe candidate, and as such needs to go to different lengths to get his message out. That is great that he has used the web to his advantage, but it is also obvious he has some rabid web support that manipultes polls and the like. This spamming is something I don't have a hard time believing.

I signed up to his campaign to recieve e-mail. I recieve his stuff from his campaign, but I have never recieved anything else from any where else.
