I'm flying there today for two weeks. Anyone have any good advice of places to eat or hanging out in the evenings?

Which Springfield? I think there's a couple in VA.

You probably mean the one in Northern VA, right (near D.C.)? I don't have any suggestions, but NOVA is loaded with things to eat/do.

If you don't have any luck here, check out www.opencarry.org -there is a HUGE Northern VA following on that forum...several guys in and around Springfield...

Need more info on your interests. If you want to go shooting, be sure to check out the NRA range (go to their website)--it's a beautiful place to shoot. For night life, I would suggest hitting DC (either Georgetown or the East End). Springfield doesn't have much to offer. If you don't want to leave Northern Virginia, then check out Old Town Alexandria. There are a lot of cool bars and restaurants there. Of course if you have time there is a lot of general sightseeing to do in DC--museums, monuments, etc.
