I wouldn't call it a hoax
Especially when he's gonna be on Jay Leno Tuesday night.
Also, it's hard to read, but at the bottom it say's "a portion of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to aid families affected by the recent fires".

I heard other candidate's are in the California area campaigning. I wonder if they can/will afford to do the same with part of their proceeds?

Texas Congressman and Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul goes Hollywood. Ron Paul will be appearing on the Jay Leno show Tuesday night.

After recording the show, Ron Paul will be appearing at a $2000 a person private fund raising event at a Hollywood a residence.

Ron Paul’s campaign has been doing extremely well with its grass roots online fund raising efforts. The campaign raised over 5 million dollars in this last quarter and had 5.4 million cash on hand.

According to Paul’s campaign website which reports fund raising in real time, Paul raised almost 1.8 million this month in online donations and looks to be on pace to raise about 2.5 million this month alone.

Ron Paul's campaign also told USA Daily that they had about 840,000 people visit the site with a total of 2 million page views over the last month.

The Leno appearance may be an opportunity for the still unknown candidate that was the only Republican who voted against the Iraq war running for President to go mainstream. Paul has warned against expanding the Iraq war into Iran and of a new Cold War starting with Russia.
Ron Paul opposes federal income taxes. Paul also opposes the Federal Reserve System and pointed out in the last debate that ‘a dollar in 1913, the year the Federal Reserve was created, is only worth 4 cents today.’ He blames the Federal Reserve and the “cost of maintaining empire overseas” for leading America toward bankruptcy.

Hollywood while very Liberal does have a Libertarian strain as well. It should be interesting to see how Hollywood reacts to Ron Paul's campaign message of peace, freedom, and prosperity.

Ron Paul also has a lot of support in the high-tech areas in California, such as Silicon Valley, where many people ARE more libertarian-minded.
