What not to say to a cop
When you are legally carrying and get pulled over, when the cop asks you if you have any weapons, don't say
"I have a firearm" I said it twice, because I was wondering why he was still having me get out of the car after I said it the first time... and so I got thrown against the car once I got out and the other cop yelled "hes got a gun!". WTF, I said that twice!! Apparently, he says he heard... "I have nothing on"

The correct response is 'I have a weapon', or 'I am armed'.....never say 'gun' or 'firearm'. The first one tends to get them excited....the second is sometimes misunderstood (pronunciation)

Another thing not to say when they ask you if you have any weapons is
"Not that I know of".

The only safeguard between yourself and unjustified prosecution and imprisonment is a thin, old piece of paper and people's willingness to uphold the words written on it. Please don't be under the mistaken assumption that innocence will protect you, or that the government isn't abusing your rights. |
