tec9 help..i think i broke it
Well i got a manual on how to strip the tec9 so i did on my AB-10.
i took the upper fully appart cleaned it and oiled it nicely and then put it back together and screwed the back part back in (the screwing back was kind of hard actually, for whatever its worth) when i came to putting the upper back on the lower it seemed kind of funny on how it attached but i finally got it. when i say funny i mean that when i would have the upper and lower lined up and pushed the final push to make it click, it would keep forcing (pulling by itself) the trigger back until it clicked. However when i would now (fully assembled, w/pin back) pull the bolt back it would make two loud clicks, then would function fine (pulling the trigger released the firing pin and the safty worked fine). I thought this was strage (the 2 clicks) but i really could not remember if this was just how it was before i took it apart (and i tried a bunch of differet ways of attaching the upper the lower but it would still do the 2 clicks). shot like 30 rounds though it, then it would cock fine and the pin would release but nothing would happen. even before this though i would have to cock a round into the chamber, then push the bolt a little more foward and it would click. I got back home and took it apart again to clean it and noticed this: link http://67.18.104.66/~bigtalk/tec.jpg cilck the link or copy and paste, i didnt know how to post images. this is a pretty new AB-10 and the firing pin's tip was also broken off, so it was now flush and would not fire a round. as you can see from the picures above that hole developed, its at the base of where the safty bolt goes into the real bolt and when i look thorough it and slide the (now broken) firing pin back into it's hole in the bolt, i can see the firing pin through the hole. whats going on here? anyone i know i need a new firning pin and i guess a new bolt, but did i do something wrong or was this thing just about to go anyway? any suggestions on where to get these parts (firing pin and a new bolt). http://www.sksparts.com/ has the firing pin and just about every other part but the bolt if out of stock. |
