GAO offers another dismal outlook on our fiscal future. that's two that i know of.

but then again i don't have a degree in economics...

You two remind me of those idiots in the 70's that were swearing up and down that global cooling would cause massive loss of crop areas ect.. by 2010. If trends continued we'd have glaciers in Tennessee...

Neither of you apparently understand the concept of "if trends continue" and neither believe people can adapt, change or new innovation can occur (and it really, really doesn't take a degree in econ to understand that.. I'm thinking a good 8th grade would do fine.)

Whenever ya'll get tired of bragging about your ignorance on here, be fine with me...

i fully understand what "if trends continue" mean.

the problem is who is changing our fiscal future? Bush? no

Hillary? she won't.

Giulliani? See above.

i brag about my ignorance only because some people are so happy to profess their lack of it.

See, that's the problem with you socialists/communists - I see why you now quote their sites.

The change never comes from a politican or gov't official. IT comes from the market.

The market will adapt... just as it has on every other 'crisis' the past 10,000 years.

So keep yelling about the sky is falling. We enjoy the entertainment.

Also, a good english class could be a big help to you in constructing your thoughts, as well as a few logic classes to develop some... " i brag about my ignorance only because some people are so happy to profess their lack of it."

So what is your next rant - going back to the global cooling fear???

about.com is a communist site that quotes federal government office reports put out by the GAO, which you have quoted in the past?

Welfare, Medicare, medicaid, and federal government spending/taxation policies (which the GAO was talking about) come from 'the market'? (i assume you mean free-market, which is the opposite of 3/4 the items i just listed?)

We have seen over the past years the consistent growth of government, wasteful spending, and entitlements, thus we have a historical precedent for a viable trend. There is nothing visible on the horizon that would indicate a change in this trend.
