The Brave One??

I thought I saw a thread on this movie here, but now I'm thinking it was somewhere else. Anyhoo, anyone seen Jodie Foster's new movie yet? I just saw it and thought it was great! She did a great job, and I thought all of the scenarios (most of em anyway) seemed so realistic, like it could happen to any of us. I think it's a good example, or should be seen as a good example for CCH. Even though she takes the vigilante route, I thought it was a great movie and was thinkin' "H*LL YEAH" every time some thug got "it."

She needed a P7M8. She sure learned to shoot well... never having picked up a gun before.

Oscar time for Terrance Howard.

The movie may be good, but I've read on more than one source that she's about as anti as it gets. Here's her quote:

"I don't believe that any gun should be in the hand of a thinking, feeling, breathing human being. Americans are by nature filled with rage-slash-fear. And guns are a huge part of our culture.

"I know I'm crazy because I'm only supposed to say that in Europe. But violence corrupts absolutely."

I've always liked her and Helen Hunt as examples of "smart blondes", but we part ways on this one.

First were the native Americans ("savages"), then the black slaves (only "partly human"), then the Jews and gypsies in Hitler's Europe ("parasites on society"), and now America's unborn (also "not fully human"). Save the Americans--end abortion now.

Jodie and the rest of the anti-gunners believe that every gun-owner is on the verge of going vigilante (or of killing their own family members).

Awesome movie. I saw it the day it was released here in Reno. Unlike Death entence (Kevin Bacon), it was much more realistic and not as hokey although still a movie. Not as real as real life for sure.

That Kahr K9 did some serious damage (again, a movie) before the show was over.

I like revenge movies and the ending of this movie certainly soothed my savage beast

I can't stand how hypocritical these actors are. If they are so anti-gun then why do a movie celebrating guns? Oh wait, I know. They are all whores and will do anything for money. Duh, where was my head.
