The Presidency is about foreign policy as well

That is THE primary role of the president. Most of the domestic stuff has been "invented" by Congress and the Courts. Take a look at the Constitution, especially the 10th Amendment.

I really want to hear the opinions of how the world would be if we simply withdrew from the rest of the world by the people that support that. Especially the effects on this country. Everything that I have seen so far is very simplistic and not reality.
And we tried to be isolationists once, then along came a little skirmish called WW II.

I agree with your views on what the Presidency means, but I wouldn't go so far as to call the man naive, definitely NOT unserious, isolationist -- perhaps, but not a twit! Quite the opposite, in fact. I see him as a very serious man who's addressing the most important issues to face our nation in a long time.

I think Ron Paul's our best hope at reigning in our fiscal policies and more importantly restoring our civil liberties as well as the Constitution. To me, as a fellow American, those three issues are of grave importance. Even more so than the threats represented in the Middle East.

I think the world would be just fine if we pull out of Iraq.. At what point do you feel we can leave iraq and the region?
