After all the chaos with the directions and such, LE only beat you by 30 seconds. This is why we carry. Not a knock on LEOs, they do the best they can, but they can't be everywhere at a moment's notice.

kudos....and to answer your question. saber or sabre (not sure how they spell it). this stuff is red pepper spray, oc tear gas, and traditional mace...not to mention a uv dye to catch any assailant that gets away and is caught later.

let me tell you.....you dont want any part of this stuff. ive field tested it once and i never want to again.

I think I probably made it there in 6-7 minutes? Not bad... It's like you said I absolutely will not knock LE. They do the best they can.

Oh and the bad directions weren't that bad.. I was still only about 20 seconds away. Just didn't know which way to go lol

I carry a gun everywhere I legally can and usually two of them. That said, I also carry the good common sense that you carried with you. I am very wary of getting caught up in something that can get out of control. The last thing in the world that I want is trouble of any6 kind and especially not the deadly force kind.

But you have to live and you can't go around afraid to enjoy the fruits of life because of violence. My CCW helps me live.

You will learn that you have the right under the terms of your carry law to use deadly force in defense of your own life or that of another and to stop certain kinds of major felonies. The situation you described certainly gives one reason to think that such a situation might be present. While you may not have yet seen the fire, you smelled smoke.

Carrying the weapon is one thing using it is another. You will learn about the minefield of legal technicalities you must traverse when you decide to use deadly force. But I think your head is clear thinking and deliberate enough to make you a very good candidate to carry a concealed weapon because you can do the dispassionate reasoning necessary to properly use it.

Take your class and get your permit.
