Being as no one wants to attack the messenger, I guess I'll start!

Who the heck is this guy to speak logically and go against the administrations selling out of a country to private corporate interests.

Doesn't he realize that this is good for the top percentage of Americans.

Doesn't he realize that the only way to ensure eventual amnesty, now that the people of this great country have spoken out against it, is to take little steps and hope that the people do not once again rise in opposition to a great master plan.

How dare he point out "the anti-competitive and burdensome yoke of over-regulation of our industry at home is about to send a lot more Americans to the unemployment lines".

The idea that "Free trade is not complicated, yet NAFTA and CAFTA are comprised of thousands of pages of complicated legal jargon" is complete hogwash, and the man deserves to be ousted for mentioning it.

Then he has the nerve to state that "Free trade does not require coordination with another government to benefit citizens here". Of course it does, we must protect you (the top percent) from the idiots who might actually believe the truth and oppose such measures.

But the real topper, the reason we cannot let people hear what he says is summarized in the statement as fact that "Just like domestic businesses don't pay taxes, foreign businesses do not pay tariffs – consumers do, in the form of higher prices". Doesn't he realize that some might hear these words and actually understand them.

I wish I had never heard the name Ron Paul. The guy speaks with way to much reason to be trusted. Besided he sounds like he actually understands a few things, so shut him up. Please!

Oddly enough his name is nowhere on the votes. The one Texan that ought to be running but isn't is one of the co-sponsors though. Nice of RP to give a topic as important to the survival of our country a footnote on his daily blog.

You mean voting on Dorgan-Specter amendment introduced in the Senate?

I checked for the votes and co-sponsors of the HR 1756(?) and his name was nowhere. I could just be lacking in "google-fu" skills though.

Another reason for allowing the Mexican trucks onto our highways might be...drum roll please...money!

How?

Well, I am pretty sure that the Mexican trucks that will roll on our highways will be subject to IFTA fuel taxes that our US trucks have to pay. This would mean more money for our govt. to collect and piss away in more nation-building excercises, redlight cameras or other worthless measures for its citizens.

Yep...I am betting that in the end...this is all about money and God knows there is a ton of money in IFTA tax revenue to be collected if they start allowing Mexican trucks into America in full force.

As usual...follow the money...thats where 99% of the nonsense from DC has its roots!

I doubt as it stands now that the new trucks will be binded to IFTA or any other fees. They will have to pay for our fuel while here, but that is about it. They only have to show a valid drivers liscense as it is. No log books like our guys, they are known to run the 72hours straight that they are allowed down there. There are no saftey inspections or EPA requirements as long as they stay out of Kalifornia. Tickets? Please, you can't expect them to pay anything should they get a citation.

This is all about the green backs and the FACT that corporations want to be able to run roughshod on our backs.

WAKE UP America, while we are still known as such.
