My car passed inspection today
Apparently, the Commonwealth of Virginia deemed my 1992 beater unfit for the road. It has 2 doors (both on the right) that can't be open from the outside. I went and order the door handles Monday, picked them up yesterday, and installed them myself. The front door took 15 min to finish as it is simply swap. The back door handle broke off at the screw as well so the screw won't come off without bending the screw bracket. So this one took 3 hrs, 2 of which in almost total darkness with only moon light, and I was able to realignment the bracket close enough to use much longer screws to hold them in place.

I saved 600 dollars according to the shop estimate. What should I do with this new found money after Saturday night. There is a gun show this weekend.

Once I get the go-ahead from my wife, I will be getting a new toy. It is money well saved and well earned. That beater is saving us so much money each month as I get mileage compesantion for travel. I probably make 700 a month after gas from work to do travel. Why use new car and old faithful still drive and get 34-36 mpg.

I would guess he's refering to thread where you said your wife said no more guns.

Virginia is a Commonwealth because they take your money through high income taxes, property taxes, yearly vehicle taxes and biannual vehicle emission taxes. Commonwealth--your wealth belongs to the everyone else. To actually impose that they need a police state, thus the patrol cars have "State Police" on them.

One of these days nick__45 will move out of Virginia and realize how bad VA really is.
