It ain't over

The list was too long & took several posts to get the list posted. There are numerous examples of upstanding behavior. And I would hope that no diehard R supporters state that their party is any better. I'm pretty sure that if I had the time & interest, I could generate a similar list. Put them together & you have the real disgrace of our politicians and what the political system has produced.

Yes, I'm aware that anybody but Bush sounds naive. However, I think that when someone takes the helm of the country away from that man, we will have taken a huge step for the better. From Obama to Ron Paul, I can't think of anyone who would could make a bigger mess of things.

repeatedly looking between the crack in the door, looking at the officer inside. Sitting the stall next to the officer, tapping his foot, touching his foot to the officers foot and putting his hand under the stall. According to police, these are all things men do when wanting to engage in anonymous sex.

ok...thanks for the list. There were even 2 or three instances on your list of Democrats who were alleged to have, or convicted of having sex with minors. But the trend seems to be that not only are the vast majority of these politician/sex offenders Republicans.....but they are the very people who are so vocal about morals and being anti-gay, etc.

Most of the Democratic "criminals" on your list are just run of the mill crooks. Bribe takers, etc..even a former Black Panther convicted of a weapons charge made your list.....I thought we were talking about sexual predators and deviants?

Deviants and sexual predators that lead prayers and committees and rallies to bring about an end to what they themselves actually practice....

I NEVER said that the Democrats were less corrupt than the Republicans. I only meant to imply that the hypocrisy of those Republican sex offenders seems bizarre. They head up committees to prevent child exploitation, and then go and exploit children....as in Mark Foley and the recent clown down here (Robt. Allen). Then there are the religious zealots who preach what is a sin, and then cry for having been sinners. Rush Limbaugh screaming for every drug abuser to be imprisoned, and we later find out he's a narcotic addict. Even the self righteous Bill O Reilly turns out to be a freak.

So yes, there are a ton of crooked Democrats. But which of them put hold themselves up as pillars of morality before their fall? Certainly NOt CLINTON...but of course he was number one on your list (no surprise there at all....the Anti-Christ of the religious right. Wonder what GWB will be remembered as? The 'Great Decider"? LOL.

Anyway...that was my point....(obviously the one I failed to make to your satisfaction)......not that Democrats or 'liberals" are "better'...people are people, and politicians in general seem to be a notch below the norm. But when it comes to preaching one thing and practicing the opposite, it does seem (at least to me) that the self labelled "conservatives' are the most two faced hypocritical of the bunch.

Peace,
D.

If youre thinking Obama or Hillary or Tancredo (who said he would bomb Mecca) wouldnt make a bigger mess, youre not thinking hard enough.

In response to these statements, you don't find the same hypocrisy in the democratic party? The huge sweeping elections filled with promises to rid DC of corruption, only to later find that the very same people are engaged in, at the very least, poor ethical decisions (I wish I had $90k in the freezer). Point being, one party cannot be labeled more or less hypocritical than the other. I wasn't citing that you were somehow asserting that the democrats were all angles.

Lastly, I'm somewhat surprised to see a reluctance to hold politicians to even a certain level of decency. I have seen several posts with "people are people" opinions. A married man soliciting anonymous sex in the airport bathroom...that's just people being people A married soliciting anonymous sex at truck stops and adult book stores...that's just people being people. Discarding your responsibilities to the people you work for by illegally accepting large sums of money in a clear example of power abuse...that's just people being people. I'm sorry folks. I just don't get it. I expect, change that, demand that my elected officials behave in respectful manner and obey the same laws that I do. Just like, I expect that the teachers that teach our children must do the same, and our police officers, ...

Larry Craig does deserve forgiveness. But he doesn't deserve the job that he presently holds. Just because you are "human" and should be forgiven, it doesn't mean that you should not be held accountable and take responsibility for your actions.

I can certainly agree with this!
