I walked into a gas station the other day while grabbing a soda and noticed they sell, hookas, bongs, bowls, crack pipes,,, you name it they had it. How the heck is that legal?

Hookahs have a completely legitimate and legal purpose. Tobacco suspended in a fruit flavored sugar syrup can often be smoked out of a hookah. If you don't skimp and you buy decent stuff it's often much more enjoyable than cigarettes or cigars.

I imagine you could smoke tobacco out of bongs, bowl pipes, and crack pipes....but...damned if I know why youd want to.

The little "roses in glass" are meth stems...

It's amazing as to how you can call something one thing and make it perfectly legal.

I should take a pic if I get a chance. These arent the rose stem ones these are full blown crack pipes.

It's legal cause it has not yet been used for illegal activity. I had a friend back in GA, that is a professional glass blower, he makes more money blowing pipes and selling them to tobacco stores than he does blowing vases and what not.

As an above post said Hookas are used for liget purposes, have you ever been to a upper class Indian restaurant?? After the meal and desert they bring one out to your table that has some hot coal burnings and you add the tobacco of your flavor choice? It's a pretty neat experience if you have not yet tried it. I don't smoke but the flavored tobacco was actually relaxing...

Those are great! on occasion I go to a hookah bar and relax with flavored tobacco.

However a $400+ hookah is something that is typically not sold in a gas station but bongs and crack pipes are for very cheap...

One is for a legitimate and enjoyable cause the other facilitates drug use and as such violence in the cities and towns they are sold in.

I walked into a head shop just last year with my wife thinking it was a glass shop. I was so surprised to see all those bongs, I told my wife "see those are called bongs" and the guy pitched a FIT, screaming they were for smoking tobacco and I had to leave right now!!!

I smiled, pointed to the three stoned and wreaking of pot teenagers in the store and said "I'll be happy to call the police for you".

He walked into the back room, didn't come out until I left.

It was really pretty fun, I almost said to my wife "Sgt. Trask, call for a wagon, we'll need multiple transport" but my wife was mortified at the whole thing. Later she even accused me of doing it on purpose!

I refused to have sex with her for..... hours!

the same could be said for suppresors and machineguns and even "assult weapons" if you smoke tobacco who is to say you cant smoke out of glass?
is some kid not going to smoke pot because it not out of a glass pipe or are they going to say "hey that looks cool i think i will do illeagal drugs since the pipe is pretty!" sure they are used most of the time for pot but what about "saterday night specials" that are used in crime alot
