Well you can buy alcohol legally as well. How on earth it's legal but pot isn't is a question I'll ponder for the rest of my life.

As we learned with prohibition, when you legalize something, you put all the bootleggers out of business.

I've never smoked pot, but I heavily support for people to be able to. (Not supporting people breaking the law, but you understand what I mean.) I've been around lots of people who smoke pot, and none of them completely changed into a different person or had anything more than some coordination issues. I've been around TONS of people who drink a few beers and magically change into a totally different person, and completely lose any means of self control or common sense. I've also never seen someone addicted to weed, while I've known people who will PACK A COOLER OF BEER IN THE CAR to go to the gas station!

I drink on occasion, but usually hardly anything. I stay to a strict 4oz per 24 hours limit of anything harder than beer.

Any more than that and I feel like I'm losing my ability to be a responsible citizen.

It's because Tommy Chong's company transported their 'bongs' across state lines. Since these are for sale locally, it's legal for them to sell.

I guess the same thinking could go for armor piercing ammunition. I can purchase it off the internet, but do you really want that stuff available to the general public? Uhhhh, I'd say, NO. Nobody needs armor piercing rounds except the military and the SWAT officers IMO.

Makes absolutely no sense no matter how you look at it. Jail for one guy (federal court!!!), ok for the next?

Peace,
D.

What if we were ever in a situation where the government was forcibly removing our weapons? We would need something that could handle armored targets, to protect our families and our own lives. Then again, I support civilian ownership of anything the military is allowed to have, due to our constitutional rights and our need to be able to defend our selves.

I make pipe-tobacco cigarrillos so I can have a nice relaxing smoke without using much 'baccy or for taking out where a pipe, tamper, and pouch would be an inconvenience. I often get looked at crosswise when I stick one of those in my gob because it doesn't have a filter and resembles a doobie. Even friends who know I'm a total square have questioned me when they see my rolling machine and papers on the end table in my living room. I'd have a small bong for my pipe tobacco except for the stigma attached to them. (I am not naive enough to think that 99.9% of those pipes are sold with the intent of burning tobacco in them.) As has been mentioned, hookahs are quite a gentlemanly way to enjoy leaf.

But as for crack pipes and Power Hitters and all that other wonderful "paraphernalia"...they have virtually NO legit place among tobacciana.

For the same reason it's legal to sell ammo: It's not what you own, it's how you use it that makes it legal.

As soon as you're pulled over with one of those gas station novelties...then it becomes probable cause to search.

Which is a good idea if you have one of those things anyway.

all used for 'tobacco purposes'...

I guarantee you if you go in there and ask for a bong, bowl, or crack pipe they'll throw you out.

If you didn't say gas station I would've thought you took a trip down to ***** in Easton.

after experincing something like that i think that crap should be illegale cause no one is going to smoke tobbacco out of a freaking bong or one of them little glass pipe lol
