Another beautiful weekend, another video made
Okay, I know this is an Springfield forum but I didn't bring my friend's XD9 today. So, you'll have to settle on a Glock 19.
Anyway, I threw together some footage and put some music to it. Sorry, no cajun music this time! Windows Media (.wmv) format was the smallest it would go so sorry to all you dial-up users. I'm also waiting on my lens hood to minimize the errant light causing the lens flare. That should be corrected soon. Total runtime for the video is less than 90 seconds. It's a 36MB download and you can play it through Windows Media Player. http://www.pnguyen678.com/WebPage_Ta...GC-17Apr05.wmv Have a great work week. I don't know where you live but the weather in GA is going to be awesome this week! |

Nice video but you had an editing error. He flips up the BUIS and when he loads they are down and then back up for shooting.

Continuity is a bitch
Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, I just noticed that too. I guess I need to talk with my script supervisor |

Nice video, just watch that bad habit you're developing by holding on to the magazine while firing an AR-15, or M-16, or any magazine fed rifle for that matter.

Weapons training. It's moreso force of habit and keeping your hands off of anything that moves, like magazines or the magazine well. If you are accurate with it like that, all power to ya. Since my Marine Corps days, I habitually place the rifle butt high in my shoulder pocket and always wrap my thumb up under the gas ring barrel shroud retainer, left elbow and forearm vertical and keep my right elbow high (for steady offhand shooting (don't forget the loop sling)...just training. Kind of like how many women in the military shoot better than men because most of them never played army or mocked gun battles which can leave bad habits in their shooting style, they shoot as they are trained to.

I was taught that it could cause malfunctions, as you're not allowing the magazine to rest in it's natural position. Also, long term, it could damage either the mag or the internals of the magwell. Most people, when they do that, put a good amount of force on the mag to keep the rifle steady, and don't realize it.

I see that you have purchased that odd looking triangle site system for the handgun. How do you like it? Is it good for distance shooting, or more for close, quick target acquisition? Does the front site snag while drawing from holsters?
How about a site review? Thanks KIM |

Tru Glo Sure sights
Hey Kim,
The Sure Sights are nice. They definitely take some getting used to (at least that was my experience). There's a lot more detail on Glock Talk about them. I posted my observations there so I'll reference that post: http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=350419 |
