xdsubnservice40 <------ dumb dumb.. lol

Beitzel is correct . I could use all the little details anyone is willing to share with me . So far from what I have found i think its something like this.
Have handgun
post it for sale (info,pics,etc..)
Need a licensed firearm dealer to mail to.
Is locating and setting up with a dealer the buyers responsibility?
Receive funds and ship via fedex to dealer.
Since this gun is in my name what do I need to have to prove the gun is no longer mine? Copy of transfer from dealer?

Is it that simple?

You can ship your firearm through your FFL dealer which you can find in your area here http://www.gunbroker.com/User/DealerNetwork.asp .

When you have a buyer for the pistol, the buyer will need your FFL's fax # so your FFL can fax over his FFL lic # (this is just to verify that your FFL is indeed licensed) and vice versa if need be... Once this is info is exchanged, pay your FFL the fee's he charges. Your done..

Or you can ask your buyer if his FFL accepts transfers from non FFL # shippers (you), they may or may not.. If they do, you can ship your pistol through UPS and others excluding USPS. I have heard that when you use a FFL to ship a pistol for you, he CAN ship it through USPS, this would be a plus because USPS will be cheaper then anyone else, (but not if your FFL is going to charge you a huge fee)

Cool

Thanks dasanii thats the info I needed. I'll have to think very hard about selling, but at least I know now that its not all that difficult. Thanks for the help and making me (a noob) feel welcome. My XD service is only 3 months old and I'm starting to feel like I can't do this to her. lol
Just have to work more overtime and save for the px4 sub.
I should add that I've never owned a legal handgun before now, and within 3 months I've bought two!!! ( XD40 4", XD40 3"). I hope I haven't caught the bug, but then again would it be all that bad ? NAhh!! I think I'm hooked!
