Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman died at age 89. For many lovers of cinema, Bergman was the Master of the genre. I have always felt that he was one of the greatest artists of the cinema.

I have seen many of his films and each has had a profound effect. His films are more intellectual art then Hollywood razzle dazzle. But each is incredible in its own way. I am very sad to see this really really great man pass.

Rest in peace Ingmar Bergman and thank you for the magnificent work you gave us all.
