Has anyone ever used them? What do you think? Recommendations to brand and model? I'd be using it for hunting deer with a muzzleloader.

Jonny,
If I were out hunting and packing, I'd want a set of sticks. They make more sense than a bi-pod in that they don't get in the way and can be lighter than a bi-pod arrangement. For a sit and wait style of hunt, I don't think it would matter much. As for brands, you might consider making a set. Check this site for a good introduction http://www.varmintal.com/abifu.htm, also this guy has some good info on other things you might find interesting.

I have one that I got from Wal-Mart, I think it was like $16, It worked good when I was out deer hunting back in Ga. Used it with the 7mm a time or two.

I've seen the one's that come on the Claw sling for about the same price. Not sure if I want it on a sling though. Decisions, decisions, decisions....
