The so-called "reasonable gun control" measures will take us all to the day when the last single-shot shotgun that grandpa owned is cut into pieces. |

Oh, I believe WE (USA) create divisions. From establishing Israel to Iranian govt. meddlings to the Soviet-Afghan War...sure we have.
Thats one reason why I was so surprised at the outrage over Ron Paul's statement that 9-11 happened because of US mid-east activities. Of course thats why they attacked us! Is everyone just so stupid to believe that they did this only because of hatred of Christians or the west? That sounds silly to me. Its stupid of us to go meddling around in other country's govt. businesses (supporting them one minute then taking them out the next), then scratch our collective heads when they attack us...what did we expect? If I can get it, then the well-heeled Ivy League grads surely cn grasp this concept. The truth is, there is money and deals to be had in it for them to keep it all going...thats the scary thing. -Brickboy240

If it sounds silly to you, then you haven't read much...
That is, if you take OBL and AQ at their word, going back to the 80's... Quote:

The thing that disturbs me the most is why havent the Iraqi's started to slaughter the insurgents enmasse. They have killed over 3000 Americans but they have killed many times that number of their own fellow Moslems. Why arent they parading around their cities dragging and desicrating the bodies of their true tormentors instead of the soldiers that are trying to make their lives better. There is something truely wrong with a religion that finds no fault in murdering people that dont believe in their prophet in hideous ways and taping these grusome acts for everyone to see. The religion of peace my ass. When they start acting like something other than the bronze age barbarians they are then maybe people will listen to them. Pardon my frankness but I have lost friends over there and see the results every day. I'm beginning to believe that we should just pull back into the gulf and turn the whole region into a flaming ruin.
