there's so much wrong here... I don't have time. There is progress, Bush wasn't talking about the military's capability to sustain the surge, but the demands of the surrender first movement, and saying we're creating more AQ is the same as saying we created more Nazi's against us when we declared war....

Main point: you admit we have at least a 10 to 1 kill ratio - which is actually much higher, and you say you won't get tired of killing AQ.

You then say basically, we're doing this (killing AQ) because of "one man's ego" and you apparently are tired of it. So killing them is good, and killing them is bad....

The pentagon as well has said we can only sustain the surge through March or April of 08. The military had to up deployment times from 12 to 15 months to meet the surge. We can sustain the surge indefinitely if we don't let the troops come home. So I guess technically you are right on that.

Nazi Germany had it's entire population behind the war. We didn't make more Nazis when we declared war. The extremists (a small minority of the Muslim population) we are fighting are recruiting more moderate Muslims to their cause. Their Army is growing faster than we can kill them. At least that is what the CIA report concludes. Don't you remember, their main recruiting tool is baking little kids. Stop being silly.

I never said we are doing nothing. I said we are not progressing. We have not been able to pull the Iraqi governments head out of their a$$. AQ is regrouping in Pakistan and we have given Pakistan 6 billion dollars with no results. Dead AQ is great. The mismanagment of the conflict, and the poor execusion of the war sucks. What don't you get about that.

You love comparing this war to WWII. They are not even in the same solar system. Two totaly different conflicts.
