After shooting I use a good gun cleaning lubricant, wipe everything down then I use silicone spray and clean all the metal parts, I've used it for years and like the way it doesn't gum up.

I have never used silicone spray on my guns but I do wipe them down with a silicone cloth.

I spray the insides of my mags with a silicone spray that way they stay lubed and don't gunk up with sand and dirt when they get dropped in IPSC competitions

I got a mag brush that I keep in my bag. But do you run your mags dry? (no oil) Even the lightest coat of oil seems to still pick up some sand, and the brush still leaves some grime. Since I used the silicone spray I can just send the brush through and there is no sand or gunk, Not even in the corners.
