Ouch. I guess I will stop throwing my pants on floor. Wow something I learned on a gun board that will make my wife happy.
About 10 years ago I decided to change the oil on the wifes new car. The drain plug was very tight and when it broke loose my thumb was between the wrench and the frame. I cut 90% of the top 1/2" of so of my thumb nail included off. A trip to the er and a few stiches and it's almost as good as new.

1985 - Our well point filled up with sand. It was sunk in the ground about 20 foot. The well was just for watering. We tried back flushing it and that didn't work, neither did acid. So we had to pull the 20 foot of pipe and 4 foot point head up.
Dad wanted to just man handle it. I put the well in, I knew that wouldn't work. So I built a derrick out of 4x4x12's. Used a come along and pulled the well point up. Cleaned it and sunk it back down. It's about midnight now. We have one 75 watt light for light. I start hammering the derrick apart, and step on the top plate, that had 8 long spikes sticking out of it, pointing up. 4 of them come out the top of my boot. I scream in pain. My loving dad tells me to shut up. I try to pull my foot off. OOOHHHHH that hurts. Had to cut the boot off my foot, then pull my
foot off the nails.

1976 July 3rd- I am watching tv in the lower level of a split level house. (split level house, go in front door and you either go up or downstairs). Am home alone. Am supposed to be cleaning the garage, but Benny HIll was on a station that showed all. Thought I heard mom and siblings come home, I run up the 6 stairs and look out the door peep, yup they are home, crap, I have to shut off the tv or get a whuppin.
I am 11 years old, been growing a lot. Normally i go down 2 stairs then jump the rest of the way. Brain was not in gear. I jumped from the top. My head kissed the ceiling to the lower level. Plaster exploded all over, I thought "crap, now I'm gonna get it". I fall to the stairs, on my back and look up, there is blood, my blood, splatered all over the point of impact and the walls around there. I still go shut off the tv 25 foot away, leaving a river of blood. mom comes in a immedietly yells at me when she sees the blood on the walls, seeing that my head is bleeding in rivers. Instead of going to the hospital or call an ambulance, (pre 911 in our area) she calls my dad who yells at me on the phone. I get a towel and wait an hour for him to come haome to take me to the hospital. Still bleeding, but not as bad being I put a towel on the area and pressed hard. Got instruction to not bleed on dads car interior. Hospital said I was luckey I was alive. 7 stiches, split top of ear to top of ear, had plaster chunks in there, they had to cut me open to get it all out. Pain killer did not work, felt evey scraped and pluck to get all the debri out, felt every stich get pulled thru and tightened. Doc said if i did another head injury I would probably die.
1978- lansing michigan, hojo hotel, messin around with some buddies in the hallway, running backwards, ran into a wire reinforced plate glass window just as i was turning my head to the right. Crack my head open from the top of my right ear to the top of my head. window was 1/2 broken out i hit it so hard. One of my buddies dad was a doc, m & d took me to see him in the hotel. without painkiller he cleaned all the glass out and stiched me up. m & d were telling me that if hotel made them pay for window and carpet cleaning, then I would have to pay them.

17 yrs old, chain sawing a limb on the family ranch, was holding an idling down chain saw in my left hand, (stupidly) reached under the idling down chainsaw with my right hand to pull the tree limb over so that i can make the next cut, and my brother accidently trips on the other end of the limb, bumping my wrist up and into the chainsaw blade. very lucky i didnt cut a tendon or major blood vessel. this is the resulting scar, now almost 5 years old. 37 stiches by the way, internal dissolving and external that had to be removed. 2 hours of surgery.

This is a while ago (I was 3 y.o.. at the time)...To make a long story short, I tried to hold a large metal door open from the hinged side. It closed on my right pinky finger and severed the tip of it from me, save for a bit of skin. Got to the hospital and had it sewed back on, but to this day the tip of that finger is a bit smaller in proportion than the other pinky finger.

Thinking about this weekend alone I can recommend strongly that when slicing vegetables you not hold them between thumb and forefinger and run the knife in between to slice. (stop, put your hands out and simulate this).... One stabbed pinky finger later I'm glad I didn't curse because then I would have had to tell my wife what the heck I had just done.

It wasnt on, so I didnt get burned but I screamed and yelled and dad was screaming at me to be quiet and go to bed. Then he got up and saw what happened and the sandwich maker wouldnt open back up and he pried it bac open with a butter knife

Dislocated both my knees (left one twice, right one once but not at the same time) running around in my teens, doing stupid crap. The first time I had to push my knee cap back into place from the side of my knee.
Also fell of my buddy's starwars tree house when I was a kid and fell into a basement window well, totaling a 3 story drop on my head. Got lucky on that one, goose bump the size of an ostrich egg so I'm told.
