Haha, a memory just popped into my head. When I was about 7, we had a pool and a hot tub by our apartments. I would always check the little cleaning baskets on the sides of the pool and hot tub for cash. Id always find wet money floating around in there very time...

Juke boxes at Pizza parlors People never knew where the coin exchange was because it was on the side being blocked by a wall, LOL Id pull the juke box out and hit that coin exchange button over and over and collect about 20 or so quarters. That kept me busy playing video games for awhile.. Even at 26, I still do this, im ashamed sorta

I went out to eat with my parents a number of years ago, I was like 9 or 10 years old and found a bank envelope on the floor by my chair...there was several thousand dollars in it. We took it to the manager. When we went to pay our bill, the person who picked up the money had taken care of it.

I just like finding my own money in a coat pocket or something I haven't worn in a while.

I find money from time to time, we used to find stuff under the bleachers at school.

You did a very nice, decent, and GOOD human thing. I've found money in the past and have always turned it in.

I once lost my flight bag at the airport (slid off the top of the wing while loading, and I didn't notice). It had my logbook, headset, wallet, licenses (drivers and pilot), and all sorts of other stuff. I realized this once we got to our destination and it wasn't in the back of the plane. I called back and people went out on the ramp looking for it, but no luck. I was really upset. I got a call later that night from a guy who found it. I drove over and he gave it back, and my wallet still had the few hundred bucks in it for the rental...I gave him $60 or so for being so honest, and that's stayed with me ever since. Good job! **Hand shake, pat on back, and "Atta boy."**

What I meant by claiming it Dave, was that someone could tell them excatly how much it was(after the annoucment, but there wasnt one). Not by telling them its green with writting on it Anyone couldve said a dollar or two but if you lost $40 I think you would know it.Oh well I did my part.

I've seen places deal with lost and found money by holding it for a certain amount of time (usually a week), and if the person never claims it, it gets returned to the person who turned it in.

I know, man. I was just joking around... I was in a goofy mood last night.

Yes, the person who lost the money would have known exactly how much and in what combination of bills.

You did do your part. And by handing it in you rid yourself of any possible guilt for keeping lost property.
