Armadillo on the barrel?
I have several old milsurps with a touch of rust here and there. If I remove the rust can I then use Armadillo on the outside of the barrels? Does it hold up to heat well?

It sure wouldn't hurt. The heat would probably cause any melting Armadillo to flow deeper into any gouges formed by the rust. Of course, I'm just an idiot on a gun board, and have no scientific proof. I do like Armadillo though...

Isn’t that what most of us are on here. But Armadillo should help keep it from starting back up or shredding, rust is an evil demon, best to be preventative. I like that stuff too but don’t care for those ugly little critters though. (the live ones)

Of course we are, but I sometimes like to say it to remind myself. I'd give it a try. If it works, great, if not, you haven't harmed anything.

I saw an Armadillo ran over by a car today. I didn't know we had them here? Sorry. Not trying to jack your post. It just interested me.
