I am on day 2 without smokes!

I was 2 packs a day when i quit.Stay away from other smokers and bars for the 1st 30 days.

I too am a former smoker. It was 21 years in April.
Your decision to quit is a good one. When I was in my first days of not smoking, someone told me something that stuck with me. He said that when the urge to smoke came up, to just tell myself that it was my addiction talking to me. It wasn't really me. That helped. It was sort of like thinking that the devil was trying to get me to smoke and I just needed to ignore his ass!
